Permanent Recruitment: Embedded Engineer Recruitment and Direct Hire

Embedded engineer recruitment at Stalwart Innovations covers permanent hires for your own payroll: targeted search, technical screening by practising engineers, offer management, notice-period and buy-out discussions, and onboarding. We recruit firmware, AUTOSAR, functional safety, VLSI, avionics and test engineers for product companies, Tier-1 suppliers and GCCs in India.

How permanent recruitment works

01

Role brief

We agree the real work, standards, tools, seniority, compensation range and interview panel with your hiring manager.

02

Targeted search

Candidates are found on specific experience: an MCAL vendor, a tester platform, a DAL or a kernel subsystem.

03

Technical screening

Practising engineers interview on domain problems before you see a CV. See how we vet engineers.

04

Shortlist and your interviews

You receive screening notes, notice period and expectations for each candidate, then run your own rounds.

05

Offer, notice and onboarding

We manage the offer, keep contact through the notice period and coordinate joining with your HR team.

Engineers we recruit

Embedded software

Firmware, BSP, embedded Linux, RTOS and driver engineers. See hire embedded engineers.

Automotive software

AUTOSAR, functional safety and automotive cybersecurity engineers.

Semiconductor

Design verification, DFT, physical design, post-silicon and ATE engineers. See hire VLSI engineers.

Defence & aerospace

DO-178C software, DO-254 hardware and verification engineers. See hire avionics engineers.

Test & validation

HIL, SIL, test automation and V&V engineers. See hire test engineers.

Offer management and notice periods

Most lost hires are lost between offer and joining. We work that window deliberately.

  • Compensation expectations, notice period and counter-offer risk are discussed during screening, not at offer stage
  • Offers are sequenced so the candidate can resign with a signed offer in hand
  • Notice-period buy-out is discussed with you and the candidate where the current employer allows early release; the decision and cost are yours
  • Regular contact through the notice period, including introductions to your team lead where you agree
  • Where a start date cannot wait, a contract-to-hire or staff augmentation engineer can cover the gap

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to hire an embedded or VLSI engineer in India?

Expect the notice period to dominate. Hiring guides such as Quantalent's put notice periods at about 30 days for juniors, 60 for mid-level engineers and 60 to 90 for seniors, and many GCCs enforce 90 days. We report each candidate's notice period and likely joining date at shortlist stage so you can plan around it.

What is the typical notice period for engineers in India, and can it be bought out?

Notice periods of 30 to 90 days are common, with seniors at the longer end. Some employers allow early release if the notice is bought out, usually paid by the new employer; others do not. We find out what the candidate's employer allows and discuss it with you, but the decision and the cost are yours.

How do you reduce offer drop-outs?

We test commitment early: compensation, notice period, other offers and counter-offer risk are discussed during screening. After the offer, we stay in contact through the notice period and arrange touchpoints with your team. Where a role is critical, a contract engineer can start meanwhile so a drop-out does not stall the project.

How is the recruitment fee charged?

The fee for permanent recruitment is agreed in writing before the search starts, together with what happens if a hire leaves within an agreed period. We do not publish a standard rate because it depends on seniority, the number of roles and how specialised the search is. Request engineers to discuss your roles.

How do you vet AUTOSAR, ISO 26262 or DO-178C experience?

Practising engineers in the same discipline interview each candidate on real work, such as configuring a BSW module, writing safety requirements from a HARA or closing MC/DC coverage. We ask which work products the candidate owned and how they were reviewed or audited. See how we vet engineers.

Do you recruit for teams outside Bengaluru?

Yes. We recruit for engineering centres in Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and other Indian cities, and for remote roles where your policy allows. Candidate relocation preferences are confirmed during screening, so you know who is willing to move before you interview.

What happens if a permanent hire leaves early?

Replacement terms for permanent hires are part of the agreement we sign before the search starts. If a hire leaves within the agreed period, we restart the search under those terms, using what we learned about the role and the team.
