How hiring works

01

Role brief

We confirm the ECU or domain, AUTOSAR platform and BSW vendor, microcontroller family, ASIL and ASPICE context, work location and the engagement model you want.

02

Technical screening by practising engineers

Practising automotive engineers interview each candidate on real configuration, integration, safety or test problems drawn from your brief, not on keyword matches. The method is set out on how we vet engineers.

03

Shortlist with written assessment

You receive a shortlist with a written assessment per candidate covering tools used in production, standards exposure, notice period and likely joining date.

04

Your interviews

You interview the shortlisted engineers and make the decision. We arrange schedules and collect feedback from both sides.

05

Onboarding and follow-up

We handle contracts and onboarding, then hold regular check-ins with you and the engineer after the start date so issues surface early.

Engagement options

Automotive hiring market and buyer risks

McKinsey projects the automotive software and electronics market will reach about $519 bn by 2035, growing around 4.5% a year. The work is moving to zonal and central compute, over-the-air updates and ADAS validation at scale. UNECE R155 and R156 have applied to all new vehicles under EU type approval since July 2024, which adds TARA, cybersecurity testing and software-update evidence to every programme. India's EV sales reached 2.55 million in FY26 according to IESA, which keeps BMS and HV-safety engineers in demand.

UST argues the scarcest profiles combine software with vehicle architecture, functional safety, cybersecurity or validation knowledge, so buyers compete for the same engineers. Senior notice periods in India commonly run 60 to 90 days, and counter-offers cause offer drop-outs late in the process. Contract-to-hire is a practical bridge: an available contract engineer starts the work while a permanent hire serves notice, or converts later once both sides are sure.

Need testing as well as engineers?

Frequently asked questions

Which automotive engineering roles can you staff?

AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive software, SDV middleware, ADAS software and validation, functional safety, cybersecurity, UDS diagnostics, BMS and EV firmware, and HIL, SIL and vehicle validation engineers. We screen for the specific platform, tools and standards your programme uses rather than general automotive experience, and say where a candidate would need ramp-up time.

How soon can an automotive engineer start?

It depends on the candidate's notice period. Engineers who are available now can start once contracts and onboarding are complete; employed engineers in India often serve 60 to 90 days at senior levels. We state each candidate's notice period and likely joining date on the shortlist so you can plan, and we do not quote a start date we cannot evidence.

How do you handle long notice periods and offer drop-outs?

We confirm notice period, buy-out possibility and competing offers at screening, and stay in contact with the candidate through the notice period. Where the start date matters, contract-to-hire lets an available engineer begin now, and a permanent hire can follow. Drop-out risk cannot be removed, but it can be planned for.

What happens if a placed engineer leaves or is not the right fit?

Replacement terms are agreed in the contract before the engagement starts. Regular check-ins with you and the engineer are meant to catch problems early. If a replacement is needed, we restart the search with a sharper brief based on what did not work.

Who owns the IP our contract engineers create?

IP ownership and confidentiality are written into the contract before work starts, and engineers sign the NDAs your programme requires before they see your material. If you need work done in segregated premises or on your own equipment and network, tell us at the brief stage so it is built into the engagement.

Can engineers work onsite at our facility?

Yes. Engineers can work onsite at your facility in Bengaluru or another Indian city, remotely, or on a hybrid pattern, agreed per role. HIL and vehicle work usually needs onsite access to benches and prototypes, while AUTOSAR configuration and safety analysis often work well remotely.

Do your engineers know ASPICE and ISO 26262 work products?

We check it at screening. Buyers want engineers who have produced work products under ASPICE and ISO 26262 and been through assessments, not people who have only read the standards. The written assessment states which work products each candidate has authored and at what ASIL or capability level.

Tell us the roles, seniority and start date. A practice lead replies with matched profiles.
