How hiring works
01
Role brief
We confirm software or hardware, design assurance level, languages and RTOS, life-cycle phase, location and any nationality, clearance or export-control conditions.
02
Technical screening by practising engineers
Practising avionics engineers ask candidates to walk through test cases, coverage analysis or review findings they handled, staying at the level of standards and disciplines. The method is set out on how we vet engineers.
03
Shortlist with written assessment
The shortlist includes a written assessment per candidate: DAL experience, artefacts authored, audits supported, notice period and joining date.
04
Your interviews
You interview the shortlisted engineers and decide, including any vetting your customer requires.
05
Onboarding and follow-up
We handle contracts and onboarding within your site-security procedures, then check in regularly after the start.
Engagement options
- Staff augmentation: DO-178C verification engineers on contract for a certification milestone
- Contract-to-hire: convert to your payroll on terms agreed in the contract
- Permanent recruitment: avionics leads and certification specialists you employ directly
- Dedicated engineering teams: a verification pod working to your plans and standards
- Managed testing services: a scoped DO-178C verification work package
Avionics hiring market and buyer risks
Avionics employers in Bengaluru are advertising for DO-178C Level A and B verification engineers, and a DRDO laboratory has sought external firms for software V&V to DO-178C, which shows government verification work is also outsourced. Multicore certification guidance (A(M)C 20-193) adds objectives and verification effort. PIB reports India's defence production reached a record ₹1.78 lakh crore in FY26, and the sixth Positive Indigenisation List added 405 items on 18 August 2026, many of them line-replaceable units that carry airborne software and hardware.
Engineers with audited DAL A or B experience are few, and senior notice periods in India commonly run 60 to 90 days. A counter-offer late in the process can leave a verification schedule short. Contract-to-hire lets an available engineer start while a permanent hire serves notice. Clearance, nationality and export-control conditions are agreed per programme. For the wider role map see defence and aerospace engineering staffing.

Frequently asked questions
What DAL experience do your avionics engineers have?
It varies by candidate, which is why the written assessment states it. DO-178C defines DAL A to E, and Level A and B work adds MC/DC coverage, independence and tighter review. We screen against the DAL in your brief and say whether a candidate has delivered at that level or one below it.
Can DO-178C verification be outsourced?
Yes. Verification activities can be performed by contract engineers or an external team working to your plans, while the applicant keeps responsibility for compliance and the certification authority liaison. What matters is that independence, configuration management and review records meet the plan for the DAL.
Do you place DO-254 FPGA engineers?
Yes. DO-254 FPGA engineers work on VHDL or Verilog design, requirements-based hardware verification and elemental analysis for DAL A and B devices. We screen on the device families, tools and verification approach your programme uses.
Do your engineers have security clearance or US-person status?
Clearance, nationality and export-control requirements are agreed per programme before sourcing starts. We check eligibility at screening, and if a requirement such as US-person status rules out delivery from India we say so at the brief stage rather than later.
How soon can a DO-178C engineer start?
That depends on notice period and any vetting your customer requires. Senior engineers in India commonly serve 60 to 90 days. We state notice and likely joining dates on the shortlist, and an engineer available on contract can begin while longer processes complete.
Who owns the certification artefacts the engineer produces?
IP ownership and confidentiality are written into the contract before work starts, so plans, test cases, procedures and results belong to the party the contract names, normally you. Engineers sign your NDAs and work in your configuration management system.
What if an engineer leaves before a stage of involvement audit?
Replacement terms are agreed in the contract before the engagement starts. Regular check-ins aim to surface problems early. For audit-critical periods, a small dedicated team spreads knowledge so one departure does not stall the audit.
